Welcome! The August 2023 articles and eBook, along with TAPPI Journal’s archived peer-reviewed research dating back to 1992, are OPEN ACCESS to all readers, regardless of membership status. • Energy savings from interstage screen fractionation in production of BCTMP • CFD modeling of calcination in a rotary lime kiln with an external dryer • Nanocellulose isolation via totally chlorine-free peracetic acid pulping • Stress corrosion cracking in chromized type 409 stainless steel
Upcoming topics in September include perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in fibrous substrates, as well as filtration efficiency and breathability of face masks. Nanotechnology topics are cross-flow separation characteristics and piloting of graphene oxide nanofiltration membrane sheets and tubes for black liquor concentration, along with extensive function of green synthesized titania nanoparticles.
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit their research for peer review and consideration for publication in TAPPI Journal at tappi.org/tjsubmit. Each published paper is considered for the annual TAPPI Journal Best Research Paper Award and $2,000 Honghi Tran Prize.
